DELPHI DISPLAY SYSTEMS NAMED AN APPROVED PROVIDER OF DRIVE-THRU TECHNOLOGY TOOLS FOR WIENERSCHNIZEL® RESTAURANTS
Delphi to Supply Outdoor Digital Video Displays and Cashless Payment Terminals to Participating Wienerschnitzel® Drive-Thru Locations
COSTA MESA, CA (July 12, 2005) – Delphi Display Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer and designer of outdoor digital video display systems for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, announced that the Wienerschnitzel® restaurant chain has selected Delphi as an approved supplier of as Integrated Cashless Payment Terminals (CPT) as well as drive-thru Order Confirmation Systems (OCS).
Delphi is approved to supply OCS technology and systems to participating operators of the QSR restaurant chain known for “Chili Dog Diet.” Wienerschnitzel® is recommending that franchisees consider OCS for all new store builds, remodels and retrofits where a drive-thru exists.
To process credit and debit cards in the drive-thru, Delphi manufactures a “ruggedized” card reader enclosure allows Wienerschnitzel guests convenient access while keeping the equipment secure from environmental failures. Delphi's CPT housing structure is an integrated part of Wienerschnitzel’s® investment in drive-thru technology, which also includes Delphi's advanced graphical digital displays for order confirmation and product merchandising. The comprehensive Delphi system at Wienerschnitzel® serves to increase speed-of-service and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Delphi’s OCS delivers state-of-the-art graphical images displayed on large format full color LCD monitors designed as a self-contained, robust and sealed freestanding unit. The OCS, located at the order point in the drive-thru lane, improves order accuracy and speed of service by visually confirming a customer’s purchase at the point of sale. The OCS display features high-resolution video, graphics or text that can be viewed in direct sunlight.
“We know that providing fast, friendly, efficient service at our drive-thru’s builds customer loyalty and increases sales,” said Lowry Hughes, Vice President of Operations of Galardi Group, Inc., owner of Wienerschnitzel® franchisee licensing. “We endorse OCS and Cashless Payment drive-thru technology as a way to deliver on our service goals and endorse Delphi as one of our exclusive provider for their proven drive-thru tools.”
“After reviewing our integrated CPT and OCS technology, Wienerschnitzel® discovered that speed of service and average check size increased at their restaurants’ drive-thru’s,” said Dave Boerlin, Vice President, Business Development for Delphi. “Delphi is proud to partner with Wienerschnitzel® to help them grow their business, improve specific business metrics and further fortify the overall drive-thru experience for their customers.”
