DELPHI DISPLAY SYSTEMS SELECTED AS PREFFERED SUPPLIER OF ORDER CONFIRMATION SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY TO TACO BELL CORPORATION
COSTA MESA, CA – November 8, 2001 – Delphi Display Systems, Inc. was selected today as the preferred equipment supplier of drive through order confirmation systems for Taco Bell Corporation. Also known as Order Confirmation Boards (OCB), these devices integrate advanced digital video electronics with state-of-the-art sunlight readable color liquid crystal display (“LCD”) technology to improve the efficiency of the fast food drive through. Taco Bell will be installing Delphi OCB’s in all
new store builds and remodels. Franchisees are also encouraged to choose Delphi as part of drive through upgrade programs. “We are excited to be selected as Taco Bell’s preferred supplier of order confirmation technology,” said Ken Neeld, Delphi’s President and CEO. “This technology will allow Taco Bell to improve their drive through business and provide a better experience for their customers.”
Located at the order point in the drive through lane, the OCB visually confirms customer’s orders to improve accuracy and speed of service. Additionally, the OCB functions as a digital marketing medium by displaying full color, high resolution, point of purchase images.
