OCS FAQ

1. Periodic Maintenance

The Delphi Display Systems Order Confirmation System (OCS) also known as the Customer Order Display (COD) does not require any type of routine maintenance. In the Delphi speaker post, there are no

filters to change or keep clean. All that is required is to wipe down the exterior of the speaker post and display with a damp soft cloth and mild soap.
DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF DEGREASER ON THE DELPHI DISPLAY OR THE SPEAKER POST

In the case where the Delphi Display is mounted in a menu board or canopy mount, there will be external cooling fans mounted behind or under the display. It is recommended that a weekly check of

the fan assembly inlet be completed to ensure that no debris is blocking the air intake. This check can be done at the same time as the regular cleaning of the menu board.

2. Troubleshooting the Order Confirmation System

Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action

The IMS9000 does not answer incoming phone calls. Bad phone connection to the IMS9000. Check the RJ-11 (phone line) connector – the connector should be connected with the plastic tab towards the front panel of the IMS9000 and plugged into the LINE

port.

Bad phone connection or inactive phone line at the wall connection. Check the phone cable connection at your location.
Another device on the line (FAX or Modem) is picking up the call before the IMS9000 answers on the 4th ring. Temporarily disconnect (or power down) the other device while using the IMS9000.
The IMS9000 will not establish communication properly over the serial (direct) connections using a local PC connected to the IMS9000 PC port. Bad serial connections between the local PC and the IMS9000. Check the serial connectors on both ends of the cable, reassure they are secure in place.  Make sure the IMS9000 is in the proper mode.
Verify that the local PC Comm port settings are set the same as the OCS configuration tool Comm port settings

Note: The lithium battery backup is intended to last for the life of the product.
